Welcome to Dingxiang Jinyu Forging Co., Ltd.,
Die forgings refer to a forging method in which a blank is formed by using a die on special die forging equipment to obtain forgings. The forgings produced by this method have accurate dimensions, a relatively small machining allowance, a relatively complex structure, and high productivity.
Open-die forgings:
Open-die forgings have low precision and simple shapes. Their shapes and dimensions are generally ensured by operators using general-purpose tools. They are mainly used for single-piece and small-batch production. For the manufacture of large and extra-large forgings, open-die forging is still the only effective method. Open-die forging requires a high level of technical skill from forgers, has poor working conditions, and has low production efficiency.
Differences between the two:
Open-die forgings: The product has a simple shape and is directly forged and formed on a friction press.
Die forgings: The product has a relatively complex shape and is extruded and formed by the upper and lower die cavities.
