C1045 is a medium-carbon high-quality steel compliant with the ASTM A29/A29M-04 standard, with a carbon content ranging from 0.43% to 0.50%. It contains elements such as silicon and manganese, while strictly controlling impurities like sulfur and phosphorus, ensuring stable performance. It corresponds to grades such as China's GB 45 and Germany's DIN C45.

It has moderate cold deformation plasticity and good machinability in annealed and normalized states, with a tensile strength of ≥600MPa and a yield strength of ≥355MPa. Its performance can be optimized through heat treatment.

Widely used in mechanical manufacturing, it is applied to high-strength parts like gears, shafts and piston pins, as well as fasteners such as bolts and nuts.
