Flange Sales of Sample Enterprises in Shanxi Dropped in Multiple Sectors in Mid-November; Billet Prices and Materials Significantly Impact the Flange Market

Monitoring data from the Shanxi Center of Xinhua Index Research Institute on November 17 showed that as of November 15, the sales volume of wind power flanges of the sample monitored enterprises reached 9,143.63 tons, a decrease of 5,243.52 tons (-36.45%) compared with that on October 31, and a year-on-year decrease of 10.48%.

The sales volume of construction machinery flanges of the sample monitored enterprises stood at 983.00 tons, down by 502.90 tons (-33.84%) from October 31, with a year-on-year increase of 31.43%.

The sales volume of petrochemical flanges of the sample monitored enterprises was 2,226.82 tons, a drop of 2,753.11 tons (-55.28%) compared with October 31, and a year-on-year decrease of 8.52%.

As a raw material, billet accounts for a high proportion of the total cost of flanges. Fluctuations in the price of upstream billets have a significant impact on the price of flanges.
