New Energy Leads Growth, Traditional Sectors Undergo Adjustment

The global energy transition is driving the differentiation of flange demand. Wind power flanges in Dingxiang, Shanxi (known as "China's Forging Hometown") have performed remarkably. As of August 2025, the Xinhua·Dingxiang Wind Power Flange Price Index rose by 13.25% year-on-year, and the sales volume of wind power flanges of sample-monitored enterprises increased by approximately 45% in the first eight months of 2025. This growth benefits from the high prosperity of the wind power equipment industry and policy-driven profit improvement.

In traditional sectors, the price index of construction machinery flanges fell by 11.49% year-on-year, but enterprises still achieved a 7.55% year-on-year increase in sales volume by expanding their market share; the price index of petrochemical flanges fluctuated and remained basically flat year-on-year, with a slight 2.85% year-on-year increase in sales volume of sample-monitored enterprises in the first eight months.

Globally, according to monitoring data from authoritative institutions, the global flange product market size is expected to exceed 32.8 billion US dollars in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of approximately 5.6%. Among them, the Asia-Pacific region contributes the largest increment, accounting for over 42% of the global market. China, India and other Southeast Asian countries have become core growth engines for demand due to manufacturing upgrading and urbanization.
